When I started sharing my little corner of the world online, I didn’t set out to fit into a box. This isn’t just a homesteading page. It’s not only about chickens or gardening (though you’ll definitely find plenty of both here).
It’s about the life between all that.
The moments that don’t always make it into tutorials or to-do lists- like the way morning light pours through the window while I drink my coffee, or how gathering eggs in the quiet feels like a prayer, or how tending the garden slows my thoughts and steadies my hands, or how homeschooling my only daughter has felt like I’ve won back time I would’ve never had otherwise.
This is a space where home and homestead meet. Where growing food and growing roots happen side by side.
You’ll see animals, home-cooked meals, dirt streaked hands, pantry shelves filled with what we’ve preserved, and the little rituals of slow living that make the everyday feel rich.
I garden at high altitude, raise chickens, preserve food, and lean into doing a lot with a little. But I also sew my own curtains (as imperfect as they may be :), rearrange the furniture for fun, and believe in the power of simple things- like warm bread, clean laundry, and long walks (preferably without a phone in hand).
If you’re someone who craves a slower rhythm… if you love learning old ways and making a home that feels like a haven… if you’re curious about starting a garden or just soaking up the beauty of the seasons lived intentionally-
Then you’re in the right place. I’m so glad you’re here. Follow along for a life rooted in simplicity, purpose, and a little bit of dirt.
